FRAMING
& THE GAZE
Framing & The Gaze is a risograph-printed zine exploring how framing techniques in 1990s fashion photography reshaped the perception of women. Written as a critical essay and paired with scanned secondary imagery from iconic photographers such as Ellen von Unwerth and Peter Lindbergh, the publication investigates the tension between empowerment and objectification. Printed in blue and pink ink, the book visually reflects the dynamics of the male and female gaze embedded in the photographic aesthetic of the era.
